The tuning system is simply a larger diameter tube over a smaller diameter tube. To seal the joint I use 2 rubber O-ring's which gives it a perfectly airtight seal
The mouth piece is carved from 2 pieces of black ABS plastic and held together with a drop of glue and a brass rivet. I copied the design of the mouth piece from my own low D whistle made by Pat O'Riordan in 1999.
This is me holding a low D whistle. They are big! You can tell there is a bit of a stretch between the F# and E holes. Hopefully this picture will give you an idea of how reach the holes with out hurting yourself!
